Professor Bailey received at B.A. in political science from the University of Michigan, and her J.D. from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan. Professor Bailey began her teaching career in 1987 at Lansing Community College and at Auburn University in 1993. She has been teaching at ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ since 1998, where her primary focus is the law classes: Evidence, Criminal Procedure, Civil Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution, and Civil and Criminal Liability. Professor Bailey teaches LEJA courses offered at the WIU Regional Center in the Quad Cities.
She has also had the opportunity to teach a college-sponsored work/study program in Japan. Prior to teaching, Suzanne Bailey practiced law for nine years primarily in the area of civil law and litigation, with emphasis on medical malpractice, personal injury, and worker's compensation. Professor Bailey is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, and is a member of the American Association for Paralegal Education. She also serves as the editor for the organization's Journal of Paralegal Practice and Education.
