Register for the ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ Online Student Orientation

In order to familiarize yourself with ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ Online as you begin using it as part of your courses at ´ºÓêÖ±²¥, follow the simple steps outlined below to self-register for the ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ Online Student Orientation and complete it in its entirety. Upon completion you will be digitally presented a certificate of completion to print and turn in to your instructor.Ìý

1.) Accessing ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ Online

  1. In your browser, navigate to .
  2. From the myWIU drop-down menu in the upper right of the navigation bar, choose ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ Online.Ìý

If you are not already logged into WIU systems with your Ecom account, you will be directed to the Central Sign-On page (as shown in step 2 below.) If you do not know your Ecom username and password, contact the uTech support center by emailing support@wiu.edu ,calling 309.298.TECH , or visiting their password and account self-service page for assistance.

2.) Logging in to Central Sign-On:

  1. Enter your Ecom Username in theÌýEcom Username field.Ìý
  2. Enter your Ecom Password in theÌýPassword field.Ìý
  3. Click the LOGIN button.Ìý

3.) Registering for the ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ Online Student Orientation:

You should now see the ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ Online environment. To access the ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ Online Student
Orientation course, you will need to self-register. Follow these steps to complete your registration.Ìý

  1. Select Tools in the navigation bar at the top of the page.
  2. From the Communication drop-down menu, choose Self Registration.
  3. You will be taken to the Self Registering Course Offerings page.Ìý
  4. Click on theÌý´ºÓêÖ±²¥ Online Student Orientation link.Ìý

4.) Confirm that you are enrolling into the correct course:Ìý

  1. When theÌýDescription window appears, ensure that theÌý´ºÓêÖ±²¥ Online Student Orientation course is listed under theÌýCourse Offering Name and theÌýCourse Offering Code.Ìý
  2. Click theÌýRegister button.Ìý
  3. When the Registraton FormÌýwindow appears, confirm that the information listed is correct.Ìý
  4. Click theÌýSubmit button.Ìý
  5. When theÌýConfirmation window appears, ensure that your information is correct, then click theÌýFinish button.Ìý

5.) Accessing your Student Orientation Course after registration is complete:Ìý

  1. When theÌýRegistration Summary window appears, click theÌýGo to course offering ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ Online Student Orientation to go directly to your course.Ìý
  2. If you do not want to go directly to the course, click theÌýDone button.Ìý
  3. To return to the ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ Online Student Orientation Course at a later time,Ìýrepeat steps 1a and 1bÌýto login to the system.Ìý
  4. Once you are logged in to ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ Online, and are at theÌýMy Home page, click on the My Courses icon in the upper-right row of tools.Ìý
  5. °Õ³ó±ðÌýCourse search menu will appear.Ìý
  6. °Õ²â±è±ðÌý´ºÓêÖ±²¥ Online Student Orientation into the search box. Then click on theÌýMagnifying Glass icon to perform a search for the course.Ìý
  7. When the course listing(s) are returned, click on theÌýpush pin icon to the right of theÌý´ºÓêÖ±²¥ Online Student Orientation link to have this course saved to your listing of courses (if iti s not already showing in that list).Ìý
  8. Finally, click on the course link and you will be taken into the orientation.Ìý
